Beginner Course, Level 3 (Transitional level to Intermediate Course)
Instructor: Shen Yun Instructor
1. Level 3 transitions from the Beginner Course to the Intermediate Course. Without losing the students’ interest and joy, it strengthens the understanding of the body, coordination, physicality, and the basic postures of classical Chinese dance (For example: upright posture, basic movements, and positions).
2. Achieve the flexibility and proper postures required to complete classical Chinese dance movements (For example: side and front split achieving 180 degrees, proper classical Chinese dance hand and foot positions).
3. Enhance coordination by incorporating simple footwork with upper body positions (For example: taking a step with proper hand position).
4. Develop a basic understanding of musical rhythm and feeling, and be able to perform basic dance movements to music (For example: differentiate between rhythms, complete movements along with music).
