Intermediate Course, Level 4
Instructor: Shen Yun Instructor
1. Level 4 is the first level of the Intermediate Course, and places more emphasis on serious dance training first, and entertainment second. Students will build upon earlier level floor movements, as well as incorporate barre training. (For example: plié, single-leg plié, leg lifts, small kicks, large kicks, etc.) Students will use barre training to increase their leg strength, laying a foundation for work off the barre.
2. Increase flexibility and meet requirements for upright posture, straight knees, and pointed feet.
3. Begin fundamental training in the basic elements of classical Chinese dance, increase upper body agility, and incorporate these elements into movements.
4. Building upon the foundation of previous levels, students will further strengthen floor sequences, such as weight transfer between feet, combining small and medium jumps, etc.
- Recommended for ages 10 and above.
